David Rudisha smashing the 800m record. Just love the guy's demeanour..quite humbling.

Nicola Adams taking gold in the women's boxing. Lovely smile and accent. Found it far more entertaining than the Irish girl's fight.

and so many more I cannot think of right now.

I agree with others that it was hugely expensive but we committed to it some time before the economy went totally tits up so hardly in a position to back out. Really hope that something good comes from it for sport and the nation as a whole...The feel good factor has rubbed off on to me.

Totally agree. Do football and tennis players dream of winning the Olympics, i really don.t think so. They have there own tournaments, they do not need to be in the Olympics
