Well Hunter, did ask what was the favourite thing you least expected, so its going to be one of the optional extras :D

Definitely the exhaust and the dual clutch box. It's the only car I've driven which seems to get quicker as you go through the gears, it absolutely slams them in.

Really boring but the hill assist. Don't get me wrong I can hill start fine, but this is something I thought would be really intrusive and annoying. In actual fact, it is unobtrusive to the point you don't realise it's there!

This, such a simple feature but it makes such a big difference. I also like the way the dash and centre console looks a bit like the interior of a speed boat if you squint a bit :driving:

Can't really narrow it down to one thing:

  • The auto-folding mirrors when you lock the car (Thanks to Carly)
  • The way the bluetooth audio connects to my iPhone almost as soon as I turn the ignition on and starts playing music.
  • How you can drive roof down on a cold day and the heated seats and heater keep you nice and toasty.
  • The nice exhaust burbles and pops.

It's got to be the soundtrack on the 35is with the sport exhaust.
Yep got to agree there. Especially with the top down going through the Tyne Tunnel. Get some envious looks when giving it some beans even for a just a few seconds but everyone knows exactly what your doing and why.

The 108 wheels surprisingly. I had MV2 alloys on my last Zed and at the time I didn’t like any other wheel other than the 224 on the Z4. However seeing them in person and how much easier they are to clean I now think they are the muts nuts

I got none of things, bottom of the pile, but when I start it up and pull off the drive I'm 18 again, priceless....

Whats the favourite part of your car that you didn't expect to be?
A clever question.

Er ... the padded elbow rest on the driver's door. In the old 911, I had to carry a towel to put under my right elbow for long journeys.

The cubby hole beneath the lights switch. It holds a window hammer just right.

The under-the-knee seat extensions. After the drop-to-open windows, they were the next thing I noticed on an 840 I fancied a long time ago.

Changed my mind from earlier posting. Now it's the wind deflector.

A visit to Homebase on Sunday to pick up a couple of discounted decking boards which were 2.4 metres long (To make some window boxes) changed my mind. I obviously had to travel back home with the roof down and the wind deflector removed. The difference from having the deflector fitted is quite marked.

PS. Having the roof down looks good but with decking sticking out the top it's not the coolest of looks.
