Faulty SatNav/information display screen pop-up

Hi all.
My SatNav screen has been increasingly erratic. Currently it opens about 25% when I turn on the head unit, then closes again. Not a big issue for me but I would like to fix it before selling the car. I have the TIS and other guides for removing the unit, so any idea what I need to fix / adjust / lubricate once I have the unit out?

There is a step motor in there, however I was never successful in getting mine to be fixed on my first Z when I retrofitted the satnav. In the end, I bought a new monitor.

3 screws at the back under the plastic cover, and two "legs" with screws for which you need to get the vents out. Then just unplug.

The bigger question is, what are you buying?
