Faulty parking sensors? Part 2

Hi,
I have this interesting fault with my E85 reverse parking sensors..
When I put the car into reverse there is a continuous beeeeeeep (as if Im just about to hit something!) even though I'm not! I then select "neutral" then go back into reverse and the sensors then behave normally!
Anyone come across that before?

Cheers

Same problem. 1 or more of the sensors are likely to have gone and you need to replace them.

They are £140 each from BMW and come colour coded.

OR you can get OEM spec ones on eBay for around £25 each. These are not colour coded and you will need to spray them.

I'm just buying the paint for my order today, both my outer ones have gone. Then getting them fitted :)

OK, thanks mate! Is there an easy way to find out which sensors have gone? Also are they easy to replace? Cheers

Ignition on, car in reverse.
Put your ear right up close to each sensor.
You will hear the ones that are working making a clicking noise and the ones that are not working are silent.
To fit them read this link
