Faulty parking sensor - c110?

It seems I have an intermittent fault with my parking sensors. Whilst I was away on holiday I was getting a 5 second beep when going into reverse, and then nothing from the sensors when reversing.

I washed the car before we left, so I’m pretty confident it’s going to be corrosion on the connections behind the bumper or a dodgy sensor. Luckily I have four spare sensors as Ive got a bumper ready for a quad conversion.

My main question is will a C110 obd scanner tell me which one is down? I know some readers can and wanted to buy a c110 so hopefully it will.

I have the same on mine occasionally. If you leave the ignition on (engine off!) and the car in reverse you can feel which sensor isn’t working by gently touching them. Parking sensors work by sending out ultrasonic pulses that reflect off surfaces so you will feel the working ones vibrate at a very high frequency and the broken one won’t.

Hope this helps!

thanks  I did see that in another thread, but they started up as I was about to buy a c110 so I think I’ll wait to see if I can see which one the car reckons it is. Not too much of a worry at the moment as they started working again
