Faulty oil level sensor Q's

Carly is listing my oil level sensor as faulty (no oil light though) is this the correct replacement ? https://www.amazon.co.uk/6PR-007-868-031-Sensor-engine/dp/B003NE119O and do i need to drain the engine oil before removing the old one ?

Yes need to drain oil to replace the sensor, you will have to drop the under tray to get at it.

My sensor hasn’t worked for the past 2 years and tbh, it’s no big deal. Just check level every week or after a spirited drive.
Can’t imagine changing anytime soon as I suck oil out on changes with a pela pump.
