Faulty convertible top light?

I have an 2004 Z4 that i've owned for 2 years. The top opens fine. The light idiot goes out as it should once the opening process is completed. Then after driving for a few minutes, the light starts blinking. If I stop the car and press the open button, I hear the locking mechanism run for a second and the light goes out again. The problem will then repeat itself again and again.

Any one had this problem? Anyone know if there has ever been a soft top recall for this year Z4?

I too am having this problem but intermittently. I have noticed that when the roof goes down there is a clip which I think should connect and lock the roof down, although it is not connecting and sitting about a centimetre above. There is nothing in the boot area stopping it from fully engaging!

Maybe yours is the same?

Likewise, I am interested in hearing if there is a fix for this or what the problem may be?
