We have just purchased our first Z4 (2.0ltr, 2008, which we are looking forward to drive once the garage finish faffing about!) which after 1 week ish we noticed a problem with the Aircon. The Auto light does not come on, if you adjust the fan speed it remains constant (quite slow), the temperature seams to adjust as you move the dial but thats about it, oh and the heated rear window has stopped working (i've checked fuses). The car is back a the garage AGAIN and has had the OST Sensor replaced but has not solved the problem. The garage appear to be struggling to sort so i was hoping somebody may be able to help.

Ditto, waiting to get near a dealer so I could have mine done as well - arose from letting the battery die over about six months of non-use while abroad.
I've looked high and low and cannot find any DIY solution although I suspect if you had some diagnostic s/w you probably could do something
