Fault Code Reader

The daily drive (2003 Civic 1.6) MIL light has lit up.

I don't fancy paying £25 to get the code read so I want to get a fault code reader. It would also be handy to be able to use it on the Z4 (2007 3.0Si).

Is there a cheap one anyone can recommend? Also where is the connection port on the Z4?

I was looking at this off fleabay:

Opinions or recommendations?

Hmmm.. looks good, unfortunately both myself and my gf have iphones.

I may give this a go:

Not sure, I'm looking at the App store now and there doesn't seem to be any that are rated that highly aside from EOBD Facile which only has 6 reviews.

Maybe a code reader is a better way to go? Any idea if the one in my first post would work?

Havent used it yet but I was recommended on this forum to get the Konnwei OBD11/EOBD code reader which comes with cable and instruction book and CD. Only about £25 from ebay. Have to say very impressed with it and a nice carry pouch as well.

I've just taken a punt on this one for £12. I'll report upon delivery.

The 806 is the £25 one. From what I see it is easier to use (more buttons and a bigger screen) but twice the price.
