Farewell and thank you

Hi forumers,

After just over 5 years I parted with my beloved Z4C yesterday. Whilst actually turning out to be a bit upsetting, it is to make way/space for a Truimph GT6 eventually.

I just wanted to say thanks for being a great forum and for all the advice and input over the years, it really does help having a place to sound out ideas or issues etc and remove some of the guesswork.

Would I own another one, yes, in a heartbeat.

Cheers!

Farewell and good luck! I've always rather liked the Series I and II GT6 before they changed to the Stag style rear lights. I think I remember reading that the Series III are dynamically much better though.
I wrecked my first car when I was 17 through stupidity and inexperience. I wanted to replace it with a very old Spitfire that was for sale locally. It was bright yellow (at least the bits that weren't orangey-brown and flaky were anyway) and had Minilite-style wheels with black centres and silver rims. I thought it was the perfect car for me, but my father insisted it was not. Given that my first car had ended its useful life upside down and the significance of that took quite a few years to sink into my tiny brain, he was actually very wise :D

Z4 ownership is like the Hotel California; you can check out, but you can never leave. Good luck with the GT6; no more pesky airbags!

My first car was a triumph spitfire. I loved it, it had the obligatory rusty floors, leaky roof and vinyl seats. Handling and tyre grip were non existant, and none of my friends or family would step foot in it :D. But it never broke down, well....not until I drove it in the snow and ice and wrapped it into a wall going into a slight bend. The innocence and stupidity of my youth was summed up in that car, but I'll always have fond memories of driving it. Enjoy the GT6

I always liked the look of GT6s but was never in a position to buy one at the time. Hope you enjoy it as much as your E86.

And you can always drop in on here - hopefully with a photo or two!
