Seen some pics of a matt grey wrapped E89, and very tempted...think it would look great with the ivory interior. Also been thinking about shadow chroming my wheels too...

Not a big fan if i'm being honest. Don't really like matte painted/wrapped cars for everyday use. As for the wheels? Go for it!

Have you seen BMW Individual's Frozen Grey Metallic?

Here it is on an M3 --> http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=307282

Yes, it s a good looking car, and it's that car Andrew, that got me thinking about it...only a temporary thing, and I guess it's things like that which allow someone to indulge a colour change every now and again....

I have and while it does look good i'd still wouldn't want it on my car since you can't put it through a car wash (I do mine like that! SHOCK! HORROR! ) and you're not allowed to wax it either.

I'm not sure about the wrapped grey, but that frozen grey metallic is amazing. And the wheels on the e89 above are lovely

Not sure about the matt effect, especially in grey. I think matt suits other colours better. Bet it looks better in the flesh tho.
Definitely do your wheels

Neighbour has it on his FTO and it is a Nightmare to keep clean. He would take it off but he bought the car with it and is worried about the paintwork underneath...

I seen a Matt black wrapped one! Looked amazing!

Only if they are kept clean / looked after and unmarked - saw a matt black wrapped M3 the other day that wasn't and it just looked cheap and nasty...

Well actually Metal, I was going to ask you for your car and your money 8)

I probably won't do it, just caught on a whim...but def going for the shadow chrome wheels...

Ah ha, but you see I'm into cleaning my car on a daily basis, so it may be suited to me....but as I've said before, it was a whim, and I won't go down there, with summer coming.....white is best!

I don't like the matte wrapped look. Makes the car look like an amateur paint job. Just needs brush marks for the full effect.

However as already said, each to their own!

Tapatalking...

Actually like matt paint/wraps - think a matt back zed, dark wheels and tinted windows would look pretty good. Would probably cure my OCD with shininess also :D

 Better of asking swmbo aint allowed to make any decisions in my world
+1 on the shadow chrome
Out of curiosity how much does a full wrap cost ?

I see that you saw my post from the other forum and glad that someone actually likes the matte color for once. :)
In matte it really does show off the lines and edges of the car more, it's easier to see the design and how sexy the E89 really is.
