I have the RPI back boxes in excellent condition, cost me around £1200 new, worth about £600 now I guess as values go on used exhausts. They are *stunning* and loud for town/city driving but I have a long commute now so I need something quieter. Stock is too quiet. Does anyone have SuperSprint back boxes or any other sort of performance back boxes they'd like to swap with me??

I guess part of the problem is you'll never know whether you can live with them until you've lived with them for a while.
I originally thought the Rogue Diablos were going to be too loud, but cruising on steady throttle at almost any speed and they're fine. Put your foot down and it's a different matter, and you'll even get the whole car vibrating at certain revs/speeds - but that's part of the fun :evil:
BTW, I do about 500 miles a week in mine.

Still enjoying the snarl from the stock system. Particularly when driving through the side tunnel at Heathrow with the windows down :evil:
Hard to tell. I've only driven her 10 times or so including the trip home. Snow then business trips have interrupted play

Lack of actual suggestions is probably because there are few out there who might be able to offer the sort of swap you are after. The RPI exhaust divides opinion - some love it and some hate it so you're looking at a pretty small target audience I'd say.

I am in the process of putting a straight-through internal pipe inside the stock back boxes....... (exdos just gutted his which is a bit of a half measure IMO, and he would probably acknowledge this himself i expect)

Why do you suggest that my silencer mod is a bit of a half measure? It's been datalogged, and provably works, with decent gains. If I'd wanted to put a straight-through pipe (even perforated tubing) inside the silencers, I could've easily done so. I'd previously done several different modded silencers for the Z3MC, and my Z4MC exhaust mod is based on those earlier mods, which also produce significant performance gains.pilchardthecat said:

I am leaning towards one of these RPI's after hearing a few clips......... I have stock on mine currently and really dont mind the 'hooligan sound' lol
