Maniac said:Well you see I'm still 50/50 on the DCT thing. I love the fact my car is an auto when I'm commuting. I love the fact that I can take control if I want to. However... there is a sense that you're not quite as in control as when you're driving a manual. There's less 'engagement' with the car. Besides, there have been a few times when I've been driving in a 'spirited' fashion and the DCT has not given me the gear I requested. i.e. It thinks it knows better and won't let me have a gear when I want it. Its only occasional, but when it happens, you think 'I'd have been able to do that in a manual'. Flip side is, in full attack mode (sport+/DCT S) the shifts really are impressive and at WOT give you a substantial kick in the back. Pros and cons for me.
