Fan noise on startup

Hi Chaps,

Have had my Z4MC for around 2 weeks now and loving everything about it!

I started it up this morning and noticed a fan noise. I didnt have a chance to check if it was the radiator fan or something else. Any ideas what this could be as bit worried that I started the car from cold....

Internal or external? how loud , where's it coming from etc?

The easiest way to diagnose these things tends to involve an iPhone video

SAP...

secondary air pump blows air into the cats on start up. its the black cylindrical thing in front of the brake fluid res tank.

The sound is external for sure...

Beedub - In terms of your description the sounds does 'sound' like its coming from that area...I will take another look when i get back in the car tonight!

Ok , it doesn't always turn on, in certain situations it activates, in others it doesn't.

Agreed- I have noticed it only twice now....
