Falken FK-452s - What tyre pressues?

Can everyone please list the tyre pressues they're using with Falkens? I'm not sure what to put mine at.

Ah, found the 'official' thread! Nice one...

Question - Mine say 'Extra Load' on them... Is that normal?

I wondered about this when I was looking at falkens.

I found out that the XL means that the tyre wall is harder to accept heavier loads. I read somewhere that this gives the tyre a harder ride, and I was looking for non XLs but couldn't find any of either type in stock in the end, and went with Eagle f1s.

I'm not sure the z4 needs XL , as it's not all that heavy(except the engine perhaps?), but it shouldn't cause you any problems.

Does it not just mean you can get away with lower pressures?

Dont forget also that the OEM bridgestone tyres are like rocks with their sidewalls so the XL falkens are probably quite soft in comparison :D

I have absolutely no idea, but hope they're ok. The ride is better than RFTs, but I'm not personally keen on the soft sidewall meaning shite turn-in.

shoulda waited or gone for the Michelins then - best of both worlds :P

Yeah, we'll see if the turn in gets better once I've set the tyre pressures correctly and the tyres are worn in a bit... If not, I'll do a year or so on these and change back to RFTs!

Believe me you wont want to go back to RFT's, just keep away from gannet :poke:

Hope this helps

I actually honestly think I do. Yes the new tyres don't skip like the RFTs, and they run a lot smoother, but I can't turn-in with pin point precision like I previously could.
