Hi everyone
I've been mulling over swapping out my existing Potenza Runflats (good tread on all) for a new set of non-Runflats before we go on our 3000 mile euro driving holiday.
I can't see it being particularly relaxing having to keep the car in a straight line on the Runflats in the lorry tracks on the roads, or my teeth falling out due to ride quality!
So - the usual suspects are the Falken 453s and the Vred Sessantas, but has anyone tried the Falken 914s?
I've just had a full set of these fitted on our MINI Clubman in 16" and just did a 300 mile trip to Cornwall last night and was v impressed. Quiet, comfortable etc.
My key requirements are (in this order) - lowest tyre noise, best comfort (ie no tramlining etc), economy, grip dry, grip wet
I can see that the Vreds have the lowest EU noise rating (67db) but that's external noise, not cabin measured - how do you find them noise wise?
Cheers
