It's been tried on 2 occasions and both times fallen through. I still feel bad for bothering the guy the second time round.

With regard to the wheels, i assume its alright to sell them if they are described as being replica and there is no trade marks on them. Otherwise ebay and bmautosport etc would have big issues.
