Fake Alpina for Sale on ebay

 Bristol M4/M5
A few months ago there was a silver automatic for sale in Derby, but it went eventually after dropping from £6k to £5k. Heres another one, but in Sterling. Unfortunately there isnt much info on the original car underneath it all, other than a June 2003 3.0 according to the Reg check.

Looks a good effort though externally !

Some of these were done by the original dealerships. I recall a sterling grey one about 12 years back. Externally they were a perfect match.

To be fair to the seller, he's open and honest about it being a fake. He's not trying to kid any potential buyers.

Apart from the 'genuine clear rear alpina lights' and the facelift front headlights - all Alpinas are based on pre-facelift E85s so, as supplied, have red rears and ginger bits.

The wheels and all of the Alpina bodykit was available to order so there are a number of cars around with some, or all, fitted.

I know of a couple of cars that were fully kitted up by BMW dealers but both of them seem to have originally been dealership demo cars and it makes me wonder if they were a way of having a demo z4 whilst also showing off the look of the Alpina - a bit cheaper than having two demo cars (assuming they could have got an RS as a demo in the first place)

Yes, I think there are a few well done cars about.
The Silver one a few months back had an Auto box, so maybe somebody liked the look but had to create their own.
I think a Forum Member "Alane" has a silver one too.

I was almost tempted to buy the Silver one myself as a Winter 'dummy' so I could keep the real one for the bigger, drier occasions !
