FAIR PRICE ?

Wife got the MOT done at the dealers, she had a headlight bulb out so she told them to change them all as she didn't want to risk the others failing (feminine logic) they found front tyres Bridgestone RFT's needed changing and a back spring broken they collected the car and returned it next day £720.00. Is that a reasonable price, If I was home I would have changed the bulb £15.00, bought a spring and got the tyre place to fit it after they changed the front tyres and they could have done the MOT as well.
I think the fronts are £180.00 each and the last time I got a spring from BMW for £70.00 and the tyre place fitted it for £30.00, I think the MOT was £35.00 last time or am I thinking back too far?
I make it £510.00 it would have cost me anyway so if she's happy and all she did was pick up the phone to call them and it was done maybe not so bad?

If I was the OP I would have expected an itemised bill so I could see what each item cost. You would have been charged the full cost of an MOT, unless they had a special deal, which is around the £55 mark.

Unfortunately no choice in the matter i'm not due home until end of April and MOT was due, I will get to see the bill then in case there are other items she has not mentioned but don't want to add too many sat phone charges to the total, it's worse when Sky stops working, their call out charges are just as bad, one of the costs of being at sea.
