and in the center console i have this

I dont have the 2 assist buttons near the hand brake, but on the sat nav screen it does show bmw assist

S612A BMW Assist

any help on this

thanks

1) The button in between the seats in the drop down console is the "Bluetooth" button. Hold this for 3 secs

2) Turn the ignition key to position 1

3) At this point the NAV screen displayed the elusive "PAIRING MODE" message

4) Go to your phone, you should see BMW#### show up as an additional device (mines initially said headset then changed to BMW#####)

5) Pair device from the bluetooth settings on phone, you'll be asked for the Bluetooth Key that was provided with the car.

6) NAV screen will display "PAIRING...." followed by "PAIRING COMPLETE"

Hit the R/T button on the wheel and it scroll through your contacts.
Try this

cheers mark just got it working , i didnt think car had it and i dont have MFSW grr its the one option im misssing lol

It can be retro fitted.
To be honest i think the call quality is poor at best.
Probably better off with aftermarket BT to stream music

ive got a intravee II for music, just handy if im driving rather then pulling over. Usually miss calls when driving as i dont notice phone going off

Prolly only use it once a month at most, but least its there if i do :)

BMW Assist is something else entirely (completely pointless now).

It looks like you do have it but check the top of your steering wheel for a little mic.

What worked for me (07 Z4C) was to hold the BT button down for 3 seconds, then turn the key to position 3 (ie start the engine) and then releasing the BT button after a further 3 seconds. It wouldn't work with the key in positions 1 or 2, I think the manual suggested position 2. It had me :headbang: for a while that one :)

Hope it works for you!
