Stream music over factory Bluetooth?

Hello all!

So I'm currently in the process of purchasing an E85, and it has factory Bluetooth from a VIN lookup. Does this mean I can stream music from my phone? Or is it purely voice call only?

Factory options relating to stereo are below:

S644 Preparation f mobile phone w Bluetooth
S662 Radio BMW Business CD
S672 CD changer for 6 CDs
S677 HiFi system Professional DSP

If not, can it be added easily with an aftermarket module?

Any advice?

As it stands factory bt calls only
You need to a a module to stream music

Figured that was the case, heard about the Grom USB3 unit, does this just plug in in place of the cd changer?

Don't think I even own any cds nowadays, so it wouldn't be used anyway

Not sure about grom,
But most if not all plug in , in place of CD changer,
If you have nav screen you might want to consider the intravee module if you have iPhone iPod,

I have the USB3 connected in the boot and yes it uses the CD changer cables. Didn't bother with BT as I prefer music that doesn't rely on batteries.
