I'm now the owner of the E89 and noticed a post that there is a facelift version. How can i tell which one I have, what are the differences?

From the outside the main difference was the side indicators but a lot of owners upgraded to the newer style so may be difficult to tell from those.
What year and model do you have?

Hi, cars after September 13 are lci models I think :?
How old is your car?
Rob

Headlights are different aren't they. They have BMW in the chrome section and have eyebrow running lights.

Its a 2015 M sport Rob. What does lci stand for? Another question, I thought this would have had an oil dipstick to check levels but I cant see one! How do you check oil levels, and service intervals without an I Drive? All that was on screen in the M 135. :?
Bri.

Yours will be a facelift/lci model.
There is no dipstick and the oil is checked electronically along with service intervals and setting the tyre pressure monitoring system.
This is done by using one of the stalks next to the steering wheel.
Best to look in the manual it will explain it a lot better.

LCI = Life Cycle Impulse
It's BMW-speak for a set of mid-production-life modifications to a vehicle that are intended to stop it looking stale and give it a sales boost

One can only hope that the acclaimed Teutonic proclivity for snappy soundbites resulted in a far more captivating phrasing in the original German... :wink:
