Facelift front bumper install?

Does anybody have a write up, tips or information for fitting a facelift front bumper to a pre-facelift car ?

Im referring to an non-m roadster by the way.

Obviously cj10 has done it and think its fairly straight forward with the exception of changing the foglights, check out this thread http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=1071&hilit=m+front+bumper I know its an M bumper but the principal should be exactly the same.

I have just had mine off to tighten a screw on headlight which was causing the light to flutter.
I gotta say the plastic clips that hold the wing/guard to bumper is a pathetic device.
No matter how many times I pulled it apart and then put it back together the gaps were bulging (overstating it abit ) due to aging clips.
I am tempted to make a likened shape with 2 x 7-8 mm studs to engage and pull it together as it should be.
I have looked at a couple of other z4's in town and they too are all over the place,
I gave up and replace RH with a new clip 100 dollars and marginal improvement.
Anyone else experience this

I have exactly the same problem on the NS mount and have purchased a new bracket last week. Incredibly £20 for a small piece of plastic.

I know mine if gapped because I set the headlight too low and its put it under strain, but it's a rather poor design.I think most problems do arise as it''s a very complex headlight to line up

Was going to fix it today but too cold so I stripped all the tiles off one of the bathroom walls to get a Winter project underway.

Back to OP post. Facelift to pre facelift is a direct change. No new parts needed. The rectangular foglights use the same connector as the round ones.
You will need to do a little work on the central undertray as the design is slightly different. Just drill new screw holes.

i thought we were all meant to be hardcore convertible drivers?

i spent all morning and into the afternoon cleaning mine at about 4degrees, i was freezing my nuts off but she looks great now!

i might look into a facelift bumper, mine was scraped a while ago and i need to get it fixed, i might just treat myself

Yep I just spent nigh on 6 hours for a full detail on mine.
The Black duco is so stunning with the CSL's ..shame it doesnt stay that way

20 quid ...sheeeeet..!! thats cheap to what I just paid....over 50 quid
I will look at the headlight adjustment and check it out.
I have them both high in the gap and they shouldnt be touching at the bottom - pushing the bumpeer down.
