facelift bumper trim help

Whilst fitting my facelift rear bumper to my pre-facelift E85 I managed to break the trim that holds the upper centre of the bumper (under the slam of the boot lid)
I've looked on RealOem and found the trim part number...but, the part numbers for pre and post facelift models are different.
Do I need to get the original pre-facelift part which fits the car (but does it fit the bumper?) or do I need the facelift trim which fits the bumper (but does it fit the car?)
Can anyone who has done this conversion please help

I've spoken to Jamie at Sopers who advised that there were indeed two part no's (pre and post facelift) but couldn't offer advise on which would work. My gut instinct would say the original one but if anyone can confirm this I can get it ordered
