Fabric Roof Creases

I left the car for 4 days with the roof down (in the garage) and when I put it up there were some small but very obvious creases above the windows on both side that were not there before.

Hoping they will disappear over time - only noticed them this morning. If they don't, is there a process for removing them? This is my first soft top.

Cheers

Creases are a reality of having the top soft top down. Just avoid stowing down for extended periods when wet.
If you ever bought a 2nd hand car with soft top, the creases can be really bad because it may have been in the dealer showroom for several weeks with the top down.
Although there are other threads which say only creasing should occur, driving a lot with the top down (over several years) can lead to chafe marks - fluff or shiny, depends on what is rubbing against it. My previous Boxster and 911 cabrio had the same.

Mine has the roof up most of the time (English weather) and always up each night in the garage.

I had my first G29 for 4 years and the current one for almost 1 year, no creases. I would think that the creases in yours will disappear if it’s only 4 days.

Always had the roof stowed on the ///MR and no issues in over 10 years of ownership. My current soft top Mx5 has a frankly brilliant manual roof, so I leave it almost closed but not latched That way the material is flat but not stretched, when in the garage. Both lived/live in a warm/dry garage.

My E85 lives outside with the roof up and it is down for a couple of hours almost every day all year round when driving it. So up more than down but always has creasing. It is 20 years old so maybe that’s why.
