Thanks very much both.

I've loved the colour(San Marino Blue) ever since I first saw it on a BMW M6. 8)

Yeah, one of my favourite colours in the M4,San Marino is very nice ....my mate recently bought a 10 months old one with 2k miles on ,with the light grey leather in it, which also works well with the blue.
They don't half shift,at just over 4 seconds to 62, and as you say, pulls well all over the rev range.

Nice one,enjoy :driving:

Thank you both.

I do really like the blue exterior/light interior combination as well(had that combo in the 640d), but decided this time with 2 kids that the black interior will be a little easier to maintain though. The 640 had cream carpets and cream mats as well and they were a nightmare to keep clean as you can imagine!

I had a E92 M3 back in 2013 that I didn't get along with overall(relative low torque/a chunky kerbweight/max power at 8300rpm). So when the M4 came out I've wanted one ever since(far better brakes/lots of torque/more performance).

That’s a lovely looking car. You’ll have loads of fun with it!

Outside of the noise, the Alpina B3 was probably a better overall package in the E9x series. The S version wasn’t far off the power of the next gen M3/M4. The torque from virtually no revs makes these feel so fast compared to the older N/A cars.

Yes and I've always admired the B3 for sure. 8) It is definitely my type of car in comparison to the older N/A cars(torque definitely seems to float my boat rightly or wrongly!). :)

Gorgeous.

Thanks for the pic.

Yeah, would be my choice of colour too.
Amazing how much these can be bought for, less than a year old at £46k with competition pack,m pack etc and all the toys possible, new list was well over 70k !!

I would have one too,if not for the need for something a bit more practical for family transport...hence why me and the wife went for a new Merc AMG 250 SUV,at 40k.
We both would rather had the M4,lol.

Next car after the Merc will be something along those lines, hopefully.

I live the M4 cs,but they sure are expensive compared to a Standard M4/competition,etc.
Big jump in price fir those, though they are lovely too.
Someone on here has bought an m4cs not too long ago,in same colour. It's a beauty.

If only, haha.
Enjoy :driving:

I had my M4 since September last year , it’s a great all rounder and it’s pretty frugal to run

Quick and well balanced , it does all things well.

Mine did close to 440bhp on the rollers and it’s common that the M4 non comp and comp can overlap in power in standard trim.. mine pulls on my mates 2017 comp consistently, I half think it’s the 20’s that cause that ..

If you want the car to start with flaps open..

Ignition on, press sport button twice, press throttle pedal and then start the car.

Gives a nice morning bark

Very nice and yours looks lovely for sure. 8)

Thanks for the tip regarding the start up.

Lovely colour and it really highlights the shape of the M4.
Glad you’re enjoying it and it’s moved on in terms of performance from the previous M3.
Very nice.

It has took me a while to get one but it is definitely living up to my expectations, and the uplift in performance is impressive over the previous generation I reckon. It has been a while since I've had a car that I get satisfaction from just looking at it. I've always really liked the 4 series shape though.

For me that's half the battle. Also makes it very cheap to run if you look at it and don't drive it.

For me the M4 is the highlight of Bmw styling of the past 10 yrs & totally get your enjoyment & appreciating it for looks alone ( not something the latest ones will ever have a problem with  rear is nice , front just looks melted  )
Ive no doubt the M2 is a better "drivers" car in terms of handling but right now the M4 looks twice the car for less ££ when compared like for like .
There's a cracking 30k manual M4 on market that has me very tempted but i'm just not ready to see the TTRS go so i will continue to look forward to M4 ownership whenever that may be :driving:
