Nice I was coming the opposite way to you back when I had my Calibra same thing happened they were doing touch and goes luckily had the sunroof open was amazing sound especially the afterburners

Yes the one on the left just touched the runway while the other did a low level pass parallel to the runway.

They'd probably been through the Mach Loop in N.Wales earlier on. Now that is spectacular ! :o https://youtu.be/boqQ0y2UfuM

Great footage

For about 4 Years i went to the 'loop' before it became a too busy place with the social media hype and what comes with that ,In all weathers (rain and shine , freezing winds to a baking hot day with no where to shelter) i had a blast !!!..The Yanks from Lakenheath called up over the scanner passing through the ' Litchfield corridor' ( air space around the midlands) asking for weather/air pressure and there intentions for LFA7 ( low fly area 7).. They call it the 'Roundabout' , Unlike the RAF the Yanks would normally only drop down if the weather/ Vis was near perfect but when they did they did put on a show :)

My Favourite place was sitting on 'Corris corner' over looking 'Llyn Mwyngil' lake, watching the Birds of prey soaring past , sheep dogs rounding up sheep a few hundred feet below looking like dots .and in sight of the woman's house who phones the RAF to complain of the noise !!
Without warning unlike Cad/Bwlch a jet would sweep around the corner or if on one occasion the Yanks would fly straight at you for a photo session if set up by the pilot with from the base like in #1,2,6

The RAF Tornado ( swept back were the best ) and the visiting countries using the area for training were bonkers low on occasions, Hawks from the local RAF Valley were very good and speedy , Typhoons were ok but nothing like the F-15's or the Tornado

RIP the Tornado from service soon :(

Awesome!
I was in the ATC as a nipper and got to go up in Hawk T2 trainers aswell as Chinooks, and jumping out of the back of a Hercules for static line parachute training.
I was also fortunate to go up in a Buccaneer as a prize after winning a sharpshooter competition but my huge regret is not going up in the Tornado when it was on offer as I had fekin chickenpox. grr

A swordfencing accident with my left eye put paid to my aspirations as a fighter pilot.
hey ho

Great photos Jonnyweb142! Love the Double Rockhorns in #7  I've been up on CadEast half a dozen times in the last year and it's always busy now, sometimes very busy :(

Those photos are awesome!

Spent a lot of time near to Lakenheath and Mildenhall growing up as I had family near there - used to love the Mildenhall air show, I remember watching the Tornados doing their drills in the area, wish I was older and had access to a good camera at the time

Amazing photos.

We live about 15 miles as the fast jet flies from Lakenheath, so get a variety of planes making low level passes over our house. No real regularity to when they come over so I've never tried to take any photos of them.

A few years ago I did wish I had my camera to hand - sitting out in the garden when this low rumbling started, increasing rapidly to a deafening roar as the last flying Vulcan bomber on its farewell tour flew directly over my house at very low level. Awesome sound!

Thanks guys for the comments, It took a year to get a 300-500'ish mph jet in view/focus let alone get a sharp image through the view finder

@pbr67_zedI ......I did see the Vulcan many times before retirement at airshows, shame what the 'Trust' has done it . i'll say no more

A few from Eastbourne 2015 ( Shooting into the sun on a sunny day on the south coast is not the best )
