F1

Grojean has crashed seven times on the first lap this season - he'll be getting a reputation if he's not careful :)

But he is French so that means it will either be someone elses fault or someone else is cheating

I told my daughters at the weekend that for my 50th Birthday (2014) I want a ticket for the Spa GP. :D :D :D
And just remember, it's <1.5hrs south to the Nurburgring from Spa - would make a nice road trip...

We've spectated at Spa before but was GTs, F2, etc. Amazing place to watch from:

First year we went we watched the race from the bus stop, and sheltered in the trees from the atrocious rain!
Last time out we were half way down the straight after Eau Rouge ad before where ally's video is (I think if I'm right?). Had a big TV there so perfect for seeing what was going on, as first time out at the bus stop we ended up not being able to see one which was a bit of a mistake. Meant we missed possibly the overtake of all time - when Hakkinen passed Schumacher passing Zonta!

Bit harsh for Grosjean. I can think of worse accidents where there have been no penalties.

Changing the subject, instead of penalising drivers, I wish the FIA would address the ongoing issue overtaking without resorting to artificial DRS systems. Bring back flat bottomed cars, big diffusers and low front wings. Ditch the shark/platypus nose cones and lets have some proper racing back :fuelfire:

Track day too? ;)
O/T but I'd be interested in a track day at Spa. I'd far rather do that than go to the 'ring to be honest.

And Mrs Eds already wants to buy tickets for Spa 2013, after taking her with me a couple of years ago she's been desperate to go back cos she loved the whole weekend (apart from it being so friggin cold).

Think we've already got enough hols planned for next year but a trip to Spa in 2014 would be awesome. I've always wanted to go to a GP but not managed it so far, always intended it being one of the European ones (Spa, Hockenheim/Nurburgring, Monza or Spain) rather than Silverstone...
