Does anyone know what happened to Maldonados front wing? He retired with it hanging off but what caused it?

I don't think they showed it at any point.

Well done Jenson, flawless drive to victory. Another brilliant Belgian GP.

Raikkonen's move on Schumacher, on the outside, over the kerbs - 185mph - up the hill. Must have balls of titanium. Best move of the GP!

Grosjean has been banned from the next race.

Andi.

Wow - that's uber-harsh, but deserved, well done stewards

Missed the race :(

Glad Button won :driving:

It was a big crash, could've been a serious injury, but in my opinion there's been worse incidents that have been punished less. It's the usual thing that the severity of the accident that tends to determine the penalty as opposed to the severity of the crime. There's been some shocking driving in the past that's gone relatively scot-free when it's only been luck that's avoided a massive incident.

+2. He was an idiot but he was unfortunate that the consequences were so bad. I bet if it was Vettel/Alonso et al they wouldn't have been banned. Picking on the (relative) new boy I think. A 10 place grid-penalty or similar would've sufficed IMO.

Penalty for Grosjean probably reflects the fact that this was his 7th 1st corner incident this year, and maybe because he took out the championship leader. 10 dropped places for Maldenado as well, again, probably due to his continued involvement in crashes.

Andi.

Bad day at the office for Lewis again

Real shame as he should have won more than just the one championship title

Finally sat down and watched the highlights after a day of DIY and dodging the result...

First corner – new pants please

Raikonnen passing Schumacher at Eua Rouge – legend

Vettel spraying the podium girls with champagne – lol

Feel for Hamilton as totally faultless in that one :(

Glad that Grosjean has been penalised. The accident could have been far worse - if his car had been a few inches the other way it would have impacted with the cockpit of Alonso's Ferrari rather than the nose.

However, there must be more consistency with these penalties. I've seen equally bad incidents overlooked completely. Others have had grid penalties, retrospective time penalties, drive-through penalties... it makes F1 looks bad when there are different punishments, because it smacks of these decisions being biased towards teams / drivers. Not good.

Is there anyone that Maldanado has not collided with :? He is just dangerous and a feckin idiot.
Grojean was also fined £39K :o :o :o

I told my daughters at the weekend that for my 50th Birthday (2014) I want a ticket for the Spa GP. :D :D :D
