F1 Qualy

Pointless. Give them all the tyres they want and let the race it our for pole.
Spot on, teams to worried about keeping tyres its better starting 9th 10th than 6th 7th etc... Vettel had his jeans on with 3 mins left on the clock Rubbish idea....

That was a waste of time , but they can only try I guess. This was configured by a supposedly intelligent group of people though, how could they not predict this would have happened ?! I also feel the 90 seconds cut off doesn't work at all, I think they need to go back to a similar format to last time.

On a positive, I like the c4 coverage so far !

What an anti-climax that was :(
They'll need to think again
Brundle was saying that the teams were warning what would happen within 15 mins of the rules coming out

Also a f1 fan let's get back to last minute fight for pole I know it's only the first race of season but it seems the same cars as last year doing the biz would be nice to see a bit of a mixed bag for s change

Why can't they give the top finishing cars more ballast to carry in the next race the same as the BTCC, that would even the field out?

Unlimited tyres is a good idea, I did like the new qualy format in theory but clearly didn't work needs a rethink.

Have to say I liked Lewis' idea of mixing it up for the next few races, trying out different ideas until one works really well....

Anyone else get up to watch it on sky then watch the c4 highlights or am I the only one that sad.... Been missing the f1 and also really wanted to see what the c4 coverage was like

If all the teams are using the same qualifying format then surely the cream will always rise to the top?

I watched the qualifying and it appeared shambolic to me. What I do not understand is that how such a high profile sport, with some amazing minds in it, can not come up with an interesting qualifying session.

My thoughts exactly. Bonus points for pole and fastest lap of race too.

I'm going to guess that C4 will be cursing their decision to buy the rights, as I think the viewing figures will be terrible. Would be interesting to run a poll on here on people's thoughts on whether F1 is 'absolute sh*te' or actually a sport worth watching?
