Just for the f1 fans really

I know there's loads of stuff flying around, dog ugly cars with penis noses and camel toes but this is the latest news that I find such a strange move. I know it was rumoured anyway but now confirmed ... Hmm

Can't see the image - OK it's popped up now.

However I suspect a three man team managing the F1 outfit similar to Mercedes. Somewhere there could be a spot for Whitmarsh and possibly the role between Boullier and Dennis but I suspect that may be Ross Brawns place ;-)

Andi.

Yes it all seems a bit up in the air. I read somewhere mutterings (as so often on the net) that there had been a link with Whitmarsh and Lotus/ or Caterham. Who knows. It is going to be a really odd season, the cars just look so F-ugly!

Yes cars look butt ugly. Bring back the 1992/1993 look cars.

I think a lot this year will come down to gearing of the cars, and the engines.

Ron Dennis at the top at Mclaren can't be a bad thing

I don't care who is in charge of what team, or what drivers are in what care

I JUST DONT WANT VETTEL TO WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP 5 TIMES ON THE BOUNCE

Yep, I was shouting there :)

Well if he has the best car and can beat his team mate, he will. :D

If he does not have the best car, or can't beat his team mate, he won't.

SIMPLES

Red Bull are on the back foot in winter testing so far...

I'd like to see Newey move to a Caterham or Marussia & work his magic on a lesser ranked team.

Oh & I do agree, those new noses are sooo ugly.

I'm a huge F1 fan but so far the upcoming season is leaving me completely cold.

McLaren are treating Whitmarsh like sh1t, the cars are getting progressively slower, and the 'double points' rule in the final race undermines the whole season, and frankly is something straight out of Mario Kart.

I heard that lotus's funds are still all over the shop so who knows what will happen with f1 team. Am a big fan of boullier and knowing that he's grosjeans manager I wouldnt be supprised if he moves there within a couple of seasons....????? Any how unfortunately I follow drivers so sadly ditching the lotus jacket and saving for Ferrari... Can't say am pleased but suppose its what fans do. :driving:

Whitmarsh always came across as a really nice guy, perhaps too nice, and where Mclaren are as a business especially with the road car program, they need results.

Last years performance was awful whereas Lotus seemed to do well on very little cash.

I do think however they missed a great chance to convince Ross Brawn to take up the role.

+1 quite agree

I really liked Whitmarsh, however after last years debacle his position became increasingly untenable, ultimately that predicament was not the result of one person, but responsibility lies firmly with Whitmarsh.

Boullier has done a pretty good job at Lotus, given their limited budget, so I hope he can work some of that at Mclaren, however the downside is that he's French :(

Oh and I love the noise of the V6 Turbos, not so much screaming of the V8, the Mercedes engines sounds wonderful, not heard the Renault as it doesn't work that well :D

Really excited about this season, hope we have a close championship fight between Lewis and JB and that we have some major squabbles between Alfonso and the ice K

I agree with the sound these new engines sound good.

I do hope Williams have a turn around of fortunes thus year. Botas seems like a good driver and hopefully Massa can use his knowledge and driving ability to help them out.

Yes I'm really hoping Williams have a come back this year or next. I'm really not sure about the noise though. The recuperation under braking sounds cool along with the turbo screaming , but I'm going to miss the shrilling that used to need ear plugs!
