I think Mclaren are biding their time. They have a new Honda engine next year. Not sure if I am correct in this but I think it is an exclusive arrangement too?

I agreed with you guvnor but thats what they said last season and they've only had one decent result really Australia, so how many season are they wanting to wait before things turn around.

I reckon Mclaren are probably devoting more development time behind the scenes to the 2015 car than they are to the 2014 car. Only time will tell I suppose. They don't look that far off the best of the rest this weekend based on yesterday. The rest of the field, excluding the Mercs, seems to be quite tightly bunched together.
Yes the Honda agreement is exclusive, and I think it such for two years, which means that for next year they can build a car around an engine, aka Mercedes this year (one big question for me is if they can modify the design to split the turbo as per Mercedes as it makes for a much tighter package). This is one of the advantages of being a works team rather than a customer.
I also believe that McLaren started work on the 2014 car during the middle part of the year, if you recall they said as much, so I'm pretty disappointed that they are so far behind. Good luck to Williams today, love the sponsorship

Hmmm I don't know. As per usual some clever pit stops to eat clean air, then a lot of overtakes relying heavily on other drivers giving him room, probably too used to letting vettel by in the past when his car used to be untouchable. Good position gain all the same ...

His interviews on tv can be a bit too informal, but I like him. Met him in Belgium last year, really nice guy. And he put on q+a session off the record strictly and away from the bbc, and had some very strong interesting views on all sorts of things that I think many would agree with.
