Got it for the PC have got GTR and Race 07 it is at least as good as they are IMO, 3rd in china with a Lotus but really hard at Monaco graphics maxed out it really does look good.

I used to like the driving games. But to me they all offer a very similar experience these days and I get bored too quickly.

Maybe having one of those steering wheel set ups is what I'm missing.
I have got a wheel momo f/f but you are right, I think over the years I have tried most of them (still got them) but as you say bored quickly but I just cannot resist trying the next new one waiting for rfactor2 to release next year and am also testing Test Drive2 beta.

Rudd - even on 20% you still have to make 1 stop as so to use both option and prime during the race. The game defaults to option first for 4 laps pitting to prime for the last 8 or so laps. Problem being all other cars also come in on 4 so creating pit exit issues.

I'm finding that switching to prime first and running the longer stint followed by option is the better strategy for this shortened race.

hey, yeah i meant anything under 20% and you dont have to pit. i thought u were saying you werre pitting on shorter races.

I find it better to pit around lap 4-5 starting on the option and then by the time all the rest come in to pit towards the end you can zip past them providing you keep the pace.

im racing in a Virgin for now and doing well. iv done about 5 races and had 2 1st place finishes, i do quite a few practice laps before going for qualifying.

i looked at buying this today but didnt bother, i imagined it would get quite boring quickly (like real F1). watched the video and got bored after a few mins. i think i will stick to forza3.

It's not for everyone I guess, but I am very much an F1 fan and the attention to detail is amazing... with previous games I have always enjoyed driving the tracks ahead of the real race and getting a feel for the track... very geeky I know, but the level of realism in this game is sufficient that you do get a feel for the tricky sections of the track and it adds to the enjoyment of watching the real race.

Like I said, not for everyone, but worth a punt if you are into your F1 :driving:

Hope I didn't lead the thread on a negative slant !

I just wondered if having a steering wheel controller set up makes all the difference with this type of game.

Anyone have a steering wheel and peddles for thier PS3/Xbox? if so which one do you have as im thinking of getting one
