Just got F1 2010 yesterday for the XBOX 360... really really good :) (officially released today)

Anyone else got it? If so, I'm sp3ctre69 on XBOX Live :driving:

Yep got it today (PS3 version). Impressed with the graphics/car physics. Not so sure on the logic behind pit stops though (I drop from 4th to 20th following a stop. AI lose nothing making it impossible to win on 20% races).

Mmmm, interesting, never noticed that, will have to have a look closer

Actually it's more a case of some AI cars not making a pitstop at all in shortened races. Hopefully CM will issue a patch to remedy.

Otherwise, an excellent game (just finished 5th in Bahrain in a Lotus in my rookie year rah).

That makes sense... I came 3rd but it took a lot of concentration :)

Looks good, I may seek out a copy tomorrow. £35 in Asda I gather. Still enjoying Blur but about time for a new game.

I bought this yesterday...What a game!

in game the steering wheel is only £30. if you can use it with other games i might get it today.

Mafoo, look at the rules and judge if you even neede to make a stop in the race. A race with 20% of the true length needs a pit stop to change tyres, anything under that, say a 5 lap short race, then dont pit and you will do better.

i have been first, pitted and come out 15-16th but if it is a race where everyone must pit it works itself out.......providing you dont smash into a wall :P

anyone tried the steering wheel for PS3?

i got it on thursday but I suck, never played an F1 game before so need to get used to it, the graphics and gameplay are awesome though

Rudd - even on 20% you still have to make 1 stop as so to use both option and prime during the race. The game defaults to option first for 4 laps pitting to prime for the last 8 or so laps. Problem being all other cars also come in on 4 so creating pit exit issues.

I'm finding that switching to prime first and running the longer stint followed by option is the better strategy for this shortened race.

I'm finding that coming in on the 5th lap seems to work better.. I'm still not able to finish higher that 6th in the BMW, but I see it as pretty good, as the "boss" is expecting 10th 8)

Definitely need to get a steering wheel and a rig for it, as the controller just doesn't cut it for the finesse you need to corner with

I have an X Box I'm willing to sell fairly cheap. I play first person shooters and prefer keyboard and mouse control. Can't get to grips with the xbox controller....so it's just sitting there unused. I have need for speed drift too..,,

Ring them up, happened to mine and they fixed it. They just send you some postage labels and you send it off - took about 3 weeks though!

I used to like the driving games. But to me they all offer a very similar experience these days and I get bored too quickly.

Maybe having one of those steering wheel set ups is what I'm missing.
