I wouldn't tell them tbh not for something like that. Would be very suprised if the insurance people spotted it, and thats worse case scenario where you couldn't switch it back before they got it. I have crashed one car, police insisted their recovery people remove it. Got them to take it to my uncles garage. Had it for a day before the insurance took it.

done that myself when i was younger..

with my z4 however, ever nut and bolt is declared as i don't want the risk.

tbf, the only actual after market part on mine is the springs, yours on this other hand, has 500bhp. Think I'd be declaring everything too if I were you!
