Unlucky with the hit, sounds like it could have been a lot worse!
Not sure if I remember correctly but I think I have a friend who hit a kerb with both passenger side wheels at no more than about 20mph and it broke the steering column, car was a write off!
you could always get the alloy checked and refurbed?
