F*cking Sun.........

It'll be interesting to hear with Autoglass (or similar) think that the problem was... given that they are supposed to test cars to extreme temperatures prior to sale.... surely can't be a heat issue in the UK??

I have heard of this happening before.... Good to know how you get on changing your screen... Mine has a bad crack on the drivers side after a big stone hit it a few weeks back.... So will need to change it before MOT time.

I decided not to clean mine until it started to cool down because it always seems to dry too quickly making it a pain to get the water marks out.

But then I guess I would dodge this bullet anyway, I never use freezing cold water, I always make it luke warm to protect my delicate hands ;)

I hope it all gets sorted quickly OP so that you can make the most of the sunshine we have at the moment! I'm not getting any roof down driving, the girlfriend has stolen it and left me with her MINI!

Mine is littered with stone chips. Pain in the ass when the sun is high and shines directly at you picks up everything, or if you polish it. PITA!!! Was thinking of having it changed but seems like a hassle and an expensive hassle.

Oh dear... its one of the reasons you should never wash the car in direct sun. The same thing that happened to your windscreen can happen to your paint on a vary fine level causing all sorts of paint issues. Always try to clean your P&J in the shade.
