Extreme Zedding!

Had an unexpected day mid week - out for a run up to Alston and Hartside Cafe from Newcastle with a mate - came across this Robinson helicopter parked opposite - they were inside having a coffee!

On the run back we took a right at Alston and explored a high pass - got a bit challenging - couldn't reverse back up the slight slope once we got over the top - conditions worsened and we had to continue forward

Managed to get back down into the valley after some underbody surfing!

Impressive stuff, I did kirkstone pass in the middle of March and found some challenging conditions, it's all part of the fun!
 
Should have tried it last week... It was like driving through an snow tunnel with 9ft banks either side. Crazy
 
Love the imola red zed !

Conditions were good on the major roads - that's a great road to Hartside but the minor roads across to Edmunbyers on our way back were interesting! Lovely sunshine and very little snow on the Medomsley side.
Roof down all day! Magic. :thumbsup:
 
^ Imola red Robinson heli you mean? I just see a silver z4 non M with an M badge :poke: (sorry could not help it after just reading ten pages on a similar "spot")

Anyway, seems like a nice drive, what was the outside temp?

Outside temp varied - quite a wind chill - wasn't freezing though I had a couple of frost warnings on the way up to Hartside.

More than a nice drive - memories... :thumbsup:

Had another memorable run with same mate Friday down the West coast - favourite road with NO traffic - amazing. See post 'Have you ever had a day when....
