Exterior looks between E85,E89 and i8 spyder

bit like the mk1 vs mk2 tt debate, i prefered the mk1, as do i prefer the e85, i like the e89 front but nothing else.
 
I'm with Gov on this one. Mind you I have an e85 too. IMHO the only thing which really ages the e85 is the orange indicator lens's. Not got round to changing yet but on the wish list.
 
My girlfriend said the rear of the E89 reminded her of a Vauxhall Vectra! I wouldn't go as far as that but the lights are too big and the whole rear is a bit saggy.

I really like the E89 apart from the rear quarter and rear itself. The rear looks like it belongs on some big American sedan. The E85 looks great from most angles but I agree with Maniac that the front is it weakest point.

I like the E85 interior - it was deliberately minimalist. After all, it was an unashamed out and out Roadster wasn't it?! But the E89 interior is better built and suits the rest of the car well too.

What he said - I think the fronts weakest angle is when you look across it at 90 from the front - it looks quite strange, much better from a 3/4 view.


If I had to use it every day I'm sure an E89 would be an easier car to live with .
 
Another vote for the E85 pre facelift stunning looking car love the rear end with French fry tail lights looks really aggressive unlike front headlights the weak point as said.

The interior is spot on I think simple and clean and like the fact there is no space behind the seats a true two seater the whole car has a more muscular feel compared to the E89.

The E89 is however a nice car very smart apart from the rear end and no boot space with top down I did look into buying one but decided to spend the money on a holiday and new camera kit instead
 
BMW e89 is young ,well educated,nothing unconventional,small eyes beautiful girl. :) :)
e85 is sexy, wild, big eyes,grown-up beauty with more years of relationship.8) 8)
