Extended Warrany Question.

Hi All, I've just become the proud owner of a 2011 2.3 highline Z4. One of the selling points was the previous owner had purchased a 2 year extended warranty which went with the car. As the second owner do I have to do anything to register myself with BMW as the new owner, or does it automatically follow with the car???

I would suggest contacting BMW UK as the new owner of the vehicle, especially if you wish to renew the warranty once expired. I know they do check with the DVLA for current keepers but this is usually only when there is a recall in place.

You can email by PDF or fax a copy of the V5 for the vehicle you now own to BMW UK who will update their records accordingly.

Oh and congrats on the car. Good choice

Better to contact the warranty company as it is not BMW directly.
