Do your quotes indicate how much you would pay per month for the quotes you have listed rather than pay a lump sum for 12 months?
Also i believe (correct me if i'm wrong...again) that the warranty is still transferable if its on a pay monthly basis and you sell the car?

Unsure about the transfer part but if you want to pay monthly you can add about £200 on over the course of the year for the top level supports.... :roll:

So approx £90 a month you reckon for fully comp, £0 excess, no breakdown?

£80 - £90 a month would be about right.

However if you pay monthly you can opt out at any point. It is a different contract and as such you pay for the "luxury"

What I did find out today is that someone over on pistonheads has just had his renewal through for his E60 M5. Bare in mind it is a 5 litre V10.... The warranty cost is identical to that of the Z4M :x
 
Aye noticed your post, the pay monthly was £80 so i'd expect the same for the Z4M....just need to know if you transfer payments to a new owner.
 
I've got the BMW warranty in question on a car just over 3 years old. £60 a month including the excellent BMW emergency service, comprehensive, with a £250 excess. Works out slightly more expensive than making annual payments, but worth it for the flexibility.
 
Weismann, that sounds very reasonable, which BMW dealership offered you that warranty on a Z4M?

I called a BMW Warranty tel number and after discussing the various options decided to go for this one. There were 3 levels of cover with 3 levels of excess (£0, £100, £250) either payable monthly or annually. The annual prices were a little lower than paying monthly. There's further information on www.bmw-warranty.co.uk - call them up and have a play around. I've heard that sometimes they require your car to be inspected before selling the warranty (as Porsche tend to do). As I understand, the comprehensive warranty is the closest product you'll get to a BMW AUC Warranty.

From memory the comprehensive £0 excess warranty paid annually was about £800 - can't remember the exact figure.
 
I've sorted out the extended warranty. £56 per month comprehensive with £250 excess. Less than I expected it to be really.
 
Excess is a shame... but £56 is good, assume mine will be the same unless vinyl wrapping increases risk :poke:

they should write to you with a pin and ID so you can log onto site. Mileage doesn't seem to be a factor as my quote was the same as for a car with 50k on it. Only very high 100k seems to be a problem.
 
Anyone know how you transfer remaining 12 month AUC warranty to a new owner in a private sale?
 
If it's AUC don't think you need to so anything really, the car is insured rather than the owner and unlike the extended warranty it can't be cancelled by the owner. Is it definitely balance of AUC?
 
Yer I believe so, I've seen the certificate.

It's only 1 month, expires end of November, but gives some peace of mind at point of sale.
 
I bought my m privately and it had 6 months left of the AUC warranty. No trouble transferring. The seller had the transfer of ownership forms I filled them in and popped them in the post. Got confirmation within a couple of weeks.

:) hehe. I did get a bargain. While everyone was debating the cars providence I was putting a conditions based deposit down to hold until a viewing and full inspection. Called round the dealers and checked the servicing, checked the MOTs and got me a bargain. Good luck with your search I'm sure the right one will come up soon
