Has anybody got a photo of the Black Extended Leather trim please?
£1155 seems like a lot of cash so I think it must be something special :D

I assume you don't have that option in yours just now?

I do but it's ivory on the bottom and black on top part of dash and very tops of doors and black leather on the visors

I'll take some pictures of the interior in mines tomorrow. I can post them up on here but I'll also text them to you.

It's a nice option. Not quite sure it's worth all that but it does set it off

I don't think you'll see any difference in a photo Ronk, it's the leather itself that is the difference. If the nappa is the same as was in my M it's so much softer than standard, obviously some of the cost is taken up with it going onto the dash but IMO it's worth the outlay, I'm a bit disappointed with my seats as I've had the nappa before,I regret not speccing extended leather now.

Yes the Nappa is a a much nicer leather and so smooth unlike the Kansas. The Nappa was only avalible in the Ivory which has since been discontinued in the E89.

I'm building my hopes now that I get the car - the dealer has requested a swap (new car thing dealers do) is a reasonable spec and the extended leather was there so I'm wondering if it's worth the extra dosh!

The spec sheet says Kansas! So I'm wondering what it'll look like - for £1155 it must be good  although it's a Bmw item at a Bmw price I suppose :D

So is the extended just the normal Kansas then Angie? I thought all extended leather was nappa regardless of colour.

Bloody swizz Ronk, it is'nt nappa leather, just extended Kansas, I would'nt pay for it myself, like you say it's a lot of money for it. If it was nappa then yes.

It was Hobson's choice as it was on the build standard - on the plus side the car has a heated wheel which I probably wouldn't have specified but the consensus here seems to be a must !

I've not needed gloves with the heated wheel and setting the side vents to blow on the backs of your hands, it works well.

I think many regret not getting leather upgrades. Next time I'm definitely either getting the upgrade or a pre-owned with the extended.

£1200 on a sofa is justifiable so why should it be different on something you'll literally spend a good chunk of your life in for 3 years?

The BMW guru online doesn't know about extended leather even tho it's an option on the web page !

Excuse my ignorance guys but what is extended leather? I assume it means the dash and upper door cards? my dash has stitching along it so I assume I have the extended leather, may sound dumb but I'm a novice when it comes to this stuff.

No need to apologise - I contacted the BMW Gurus on the web page, gave them the ordering code and they didn't know what it was when ordered with Kansas leather!
