Extended leather: what’s the market actually like?

When I bought my Z4, extended leather wasn’t even on my radar. Like a lot of people, I was more interested in the mechanical side of things..

Then I came across this thread on another forum the other day (hope it’s okay to link to it):

I’d never really appreciated exactly what BMW’s Extended Leather option included until I read it. Since then I’ve found myself keeping an eye out for it on Marketplace and eBay.

I quite like the idea of the door cards as an OEM upgrade, especially as I’m planning to remove mine at some point anyway to do some sound deadening inside the doors.

It got me wondering what the market is actually like. I don’t seem to see much Extended Leather come up for sale, and even looking through eBay sold listings there’s not much to go on.

I guess what I’m really asking is what people think the ballpark values are for the various Extended Leather parts these days. I know condition obviously plays a big part, but it would be interesting to hear what people have or would expect to pay for mint examples compared with average or tired ones, whether that’s door cards, centre consoles, windscreen surrounds, visors, roll hoops etc.

I’m not looking for an exact valuation, just trying to get a feel for what the market is actually like for the bits.

Stu just sold a set of the door cards.
Plus the surround separately…

I didnt know that you could get the twin tone as extended leather.

I have the window surround sat in the garage waiting to install but theough the door cards were only black? Maybe it just wasnt an option on the M as I think black and champagne were the only options for extended?

Would love the center console and roll hoops. Mine's an imola leather car with imola door cards so assume unless I have them made they werent offered.
