Exshaust bypass mod

Hi does any one know where I can get this fitted in the Cheshire area ?,do I need to buy the pipes first and if so where from ?
 
some 911's have this i think, remember following a c4s that soubded soooo nice, to be able to make the m exhaust a tad louder when you fancy a hoon sounds quite appealing, did see a post here about this mod. good luck
 
Here's the original threadabout it, which contains details of how to get them.

However, I never got round to fitting mine as I bought some new rear boxes instead. If I can find them you are welcome to have them.

It may be easier to get a bodyshop to do the job rather than an exhaust place, as they'll need to be drilled/cut & welded into place.

It does sound great :driving: But tbh I didn't know how it sounded before!

I wonder where Paza3(5!) is now... :idunno:
 
What happened to the Cayman? I can only assume it was a disappointment after the M Coup...!

(or they're having kids?!)
 
If anyone is interested, i have a set of bypass tubes available for Z4M. I wanted to mount them on my car, but have decided to go another way (i'll come back on this later).
 
Good way to ruin an expensive exhaust...If you want more noise, go custom full stop, least that way you can return it to oem.

Surely you can return the bypass modded exhaust to OEM by filling in the small holes made for the additional pipework?
 
Paza 3 only had the Cayman for 5 weeks, apparently it was the best car he has had and from what I have herd he has had loads. Yes Range Rover Sport Supercharged. I am contemplating having the Bypass mod done, as it is seriously good value for money. Also now my car now is only a Sunday morning toy rather than a daily drive I would consider something really anti social like RPi back boxes. If anyone knows where you can get them from in the UK that would be great! Or is anyone has any other back boxes they want to sell PM me.
 
I've been trying to get mine fitted most don't won't to know one guy quoted £180/£200 and then tried to sell me a ss rear box set up as loud as I won't ed for £400 inc tail pipes so back to square one may be new back boxes is the way to go ?

Where is that ian58? Maybe if a couple more people wanted the ss set up then a group buy would bring the price down even more. I could get the bypass mod done for £100 but in my opinion in 5 mins I am going to want them louder, which then makes it £100 wasted. Where as at least buying new back boxes and spec ing the volume means I can put it back to OEM when ever and have it as anti social as I want!
 
Hi ,it's a long way from you it's macc in Cheshire but could be worth looking into , they seem to know there stuff lots of interesting cars in there with Taylor made systems lets see if we can get some numbers together ,then a least we could ask
 
With custom made systems you run the risk of it being boomy at specific RPMs, a real pain if that occurs at motorway speeds. Some aftermarket systems can have this problem too such as the RPI race. At least with factory made systems someone else is likely to have tried it before so you can read reviews / discuss it here. Quite a few people on here have had resonance issues when fitting custom made quad systems to non-M cars.
