Just been offered a groupon deal for this place, anyone had any dealings?

Its in Hassocks, Sussex.

Thanks
Darren

25 per wheel for a standard finish.
Been on their website and there's no gallery of previous work.
I'm tempted to get my winters tidied up for that price.

I'm guessing they won't take the tyres off for that price. If it's winters and you arent to worried about the finish then maybe worth a try.

Well I've gone and bought the deal, 99 for 4 wheels. I know it's cheap, but groupon is all about getting business advertising/publicity.
I'll report back when I get them done.

I note from their website that they offer a total service, ranging from badly damaged wheels to a straightforward refurb on a mobile basis. Tell them they will definitely have another two sets set to do if they make a good job of yours, as I have my winters on at the moment and just enough time to do the 108 summers wheels and tyres before changing back to them. The winters can then be done ready for next winter. I know the 108's will be more expensive but £99 for non splits is an incredible price, I assume it's paint not powder coat. I will be watching for your report when your wheels are done.

General Refurbishment

A standard alloy wheel repair finish starts by removing the surface coating back to bare metal. Kerb damage is then removed using abrasive disks or filled with either a weld or metal filler. The alloys are then coated with powder coat primer to prevent corrosion followed by a coat of colour which has been matched prior to stripping. Once baked, a powder lacquer is applied to complete the desired look and to add a layer of protection. The alloys then pass through quality control where our technicians check they meet our minimum standards of finish. The tyres are then refitted, inflated to the correct pressure and re balanced. A final quality control is carried out before alloys are ready for delivery

This is from their website, so I assume it's powder coating.

Good to know, gives me a bit of confidence in their ability.

Have you had your wheels done yet? I'm tempted by the same offer but can't find any reviews or previous work for Express Alloys. Thanks

Got them booked in for next week (been busy recently).
The groupon voucher is only for the face to be refurbished (not acid dipping etc.) which isn't really described on the offer. I hate being misled (innocently or otherwise).
Going to see if they can do a deal for a full dip and respray. If not I'll get a refund.

Latest update.
I decided not to use this company and get a refund through Groupon.
Firstly the coupon wasn't exactly for a full refurb, only a cosmetic front face respray.
Secondly I read some reviews of the place and they weren't too good.

My personal alarm bells were ringing so I chickened out. I know they were my winter wheels but they weren't bad in the first place and I was after getting them completely refurbed, but not at that price!

Sorry if I got anyone's hopes up :(
