Not a name I chose!

When I left home a mate came round to my house and decided it was very tidy (well certainly by his standards, although I can be a bit OCD).

Anyway at the time he was doing short-circuit racing and I used to go to most meetings he was doing. He was also in the motor trade so knew loads of the other drivers and one summer someone noticed the creases in the sleeves of my Ben Sherman so Mr Tidy stuck!
To the point that one weekend meeting a mate of his presented me with a washing mangle in the pits!

But if you give it you have to take it too, and I have just got used to it! (Much less offensive than a lot of them got, so I don't mind). :wink:

Sometimes gets shortened to Mr T, but I am not big or blinged - although I also don't suffer fools.

I used to do a lot of competitive mountain biking. This is me racing round Ben Nevis on one of my favourite bikes....an Orange Patriot 66. I am also quite patriotic and I was born in 1966 !

In a TV show called Brookside, the locals called firemen, firebobbies. I have used it for years now

Because I'm not very creative with this sort of thing, always loved bmws as a kid, and now despite going out to look at cars with the intention of buying something without the roundel, I've ended up with my 4th bmw in a row. Stumbling upon the world of z4s completely accidentally, and can't imagine life without one now!

I’ve been writing a book for over 4 years, and decided that my pen name would be Marlon C Romnic (which is an anagram of my real name).
Anyway, when I joined the forum I thought I’d use Marlon. And for my avatar I found a quirky pic of Marlon (Brando) from the under-rated 1976 Western ‘The Missouri Breaks’.

Was just reading back this thread a bit - the Marlon pic looks like he's in his delivery stride (cricket -bowling) to me chap!
And I have seen Groundhog Day :wink:
My avatar was a pic of the rear wheel and Hofmeister kink after I gave my car its first good detail. Thinking I might change it soon.

Hey Stevo - here's the pic expanded.

Brando plays Robert E. Lee Clayton, a regulator, which is a kind of law enforcer who works outside of the law, shooting evil-doers from a safe distance. Aside from his Creedmoor rifle, with which he’s a deadly shot, he uses another, unique weapon, one Brando invented himself, a kind of spiked, iron throwing-star. Sort of. We first see him use it on a rabbit, and later on a man (not exactly cricket )

The avatar is one of my dogs, Koko. Her name is more interesting; its because she's chocolate and her KC name is "West Woodside Knock-out."
