I want to change my 200's wheels, I saw the VMR Csl's. They look great, but what have been your experience? Does someone is using the VMR's actually? For how long have you been using them? Any problems?
I read in other forums (e46, e90) several comments, about their weight, not beeing the same that they post in the brochure. Also some problems while balancing.
Which size Works best, 18 of 19 inches?
For a black sapphire coupe what color would you folks choose silver or gunmetal?
There is a picture of my Zed in the June competition.

What are the balancing issues m8? I've got some CSL reps that I'm having issues with at the moment. They keep going out of balance. I think the tyres are moving on the rims but just need to mark them up to prove it. I think the issue is probably down to the Falken FK452's that are on there which may be getting swapped.

Every BMW I've had has had balance issue and all have been on genuine BMW alloys.

I've had much sucess having them balanced at posh garages which have the machine which actually loads the tyre with a roller to simulate 'on the road' circumstances. I once changed my shocks, springs, wishbones, ARB's and bushes, RTAB bushes and fitted four new Eagle F1's and the only thing that would give me balance was the Hunter RoadForce machine....

I had 18" VM CSLs on my M Coupe for about 5K miles without any problems. Fit great and no balance problems. I recently switched to a different brand because I was going away from the "blacked out" look to gun metal.

The Hunter 9700 series Roadforce Balancing Machine.

Both times I had my car aligned, it was on a 9700 series... Not only does it tell you where on the wheels circumference to put the weight, it also tell you how far in/out of the wheel to place it (exact position), or if you need more than one weight (at different points) to get good balance...

It correlates both X and Y axis in its calculations...
