Expensive Roses

After thinking for all these years. I was immune, it's finally happened to me.

Some A##hole, has put a nice dent in the passenger side rear wing of me beloved Zed. :thumbsdown:

Beautiful evening Thurs, so a got the Zed out after work and drove up to Tesco Callington to get some Roses, card etc for Valentines. Got home, Zed back in the garage, job done, Happy Mrs G for Valentine’s day.

Sunday:- got the Zed out to and took her down to PW, local surf spot. Got back started to give her a wash before tucking her up again and there it was, staring me in the face, a four inch long dent in the rear wing, plus scuff marks on the wheel arch and read bumper. Working back it had to have happen at Tesco, Thurs night.

Didn't think I cared for this car, as much as my little old FIAT, until now. Felt like I'd been shot.

Any how's have been down to the local. bender mender tonight and quoted £300 for repair, plus will get the few stone chips, on the bonnet, filled at the same time. So, all in all, not delighted, but happy that all will appear normal by this time next week.

That's why you don't get roses from Tesco's - should've gone to a proper florist! 8)

Look on bright side. Valentines day will never cost you that much ever again.

I am also guilty of a last minute V day dash to the supermarket for gifts. But at least I went upmarket to waitrose!!!

Only went to Tesco because it's a fun drive up and back. Waittrose is less than a mile away, so not going to get the engine warm or charge the battery. I was actualy going to go to Morrisons in Liskheard when I set off, even further than Tesco, but looked a bit cloudy in that direction so alas headed North.

I've parked the Zed there plenty of times, but normaly well away from the store entrance. On this occasion I parked far too close. I won't ever make that mistake again. Dents your faith in human nature.
