Yep I could happily have one of those in the garage.

Slightly off topic, I was looking at 4C's, on Auto trader, earlier, it looks like it will be a long time before those become the affordable sports car many where hoping for. They are still 10K above list. :(

where as the expression breadvan come from?

Eh?

I think Taz dropped the H from has. Without consulting Wikipedia, unlike the Shooting Brake term which is a historical term from horse and carriage days, I understand that "breadvan" simply comes from the similarity between the vehicle in question and a commercial vehicle for delivering baked flour based products.

Ive got one of these:

www.toolmanweb.com/scimitar

as well as the Z and they are often referred to as "Bread Vans" by some club members :D

Oh right, I put most cars with two doors and shooting brake/estate rear profile into the breadvan basket so to speak.

Most definitely a breadvan and cool with it

This is correct. Breadvan term comes from the Ferrari 250 GT SWB and is an English press translation from the French press description 'little truck'.

"Bizzarrini applied all the ideas he had developed working on the GTO and together with the car body specialist Piero Drogo developed an aerodynamically advanced body, even lower than GTO, with the roof line dramatically extended to the rear end following Kamm aerodynamic theory. The resulting shooting-brake appearance led to the French press nicknaming it "La Camionette" (little truck), while the English-speaking journalists called it the "Breadvan."

...and just because I'm an M Coupe attention hoare :)
