Expansion tank

Probably a noob question but am confused over expansion tank numbers and don't want to end up ordering the wrong thing.

Are part numbers 17117573751 and 17117573781 the same thing?
 
Recently fitted a new Febi Bilstein expansion tank and as you can see the BMW part number on the box is 17117573781.

Realoem seems to suggest the second number came in around 2007 and superseded the others.
I suspect there's no real difference.
 
The tank number ending in 751 is listed as a Z4 part, the tank number ending in 781 is listed for the E46, E83 and E53 it also has a little flange at the top, don't know if that would make any difference though.

Not really, as you just pop it off. It's only slid on.

Not really, as you just pop it off. It's only slid on.
It has a diagram of the float level indicator min/max moulded on it. Not required on the E85 as it's moulded in the plastic radiator cowl panel next to the cap :thumbsup:
